The career that I have chosen for my future is project management. Now, you may be asking yourself, hey what is project management and that is okay. I did not know what it was until my senior year of high school and now I can tell you about it.

 

Project management is when a team of dedicated workers comes together to solve a problem or reach a goal of a company within a set deadline and budget. Through collaboration with other people, project managers can come up with amazing results by each member bringing a unique skill to the group that can help create a solution. Project managers get to work on temporary projects either for a business or organization to help them reach a specific goal or objective. Their job description includes planning and organizing events and ideas that will help ensure results that can influence internal and external change for their clients. Project managers have skills that include organization, creative thinking, and teamwork. Project manager salaries can range from 39k to 130k per year depending on if you are starting at an entry-level or a senior level.

 

People who want to project managers like to create order and structure not only for their community but also the world. They should enjoy planning and working towards a goal through a process that can be stimulating and a little challenging.  By working with large corporations, small businesses, or nonprofit organizations, managers can help them reach their personal goals and move up to a new level of success that would help with their mission. Project management work is very engaging since every project is never the same which would allow managers to constantly learn new skills and have new experiences in the world of business.
